Operational Welfare Package – phone calls
Paradigm enables entitled military personnel deployed on 2 to 6 month tours to make 30 minutes of Government funded phone calls as part of their welfare package to any location in the world each week. Users can supplement their call time by purchasing top-ups directly onto their Paradigm account cards, or purchasing Paradigm’s disposable phone cards from NAAFI / EFI outlets.
Users also have access to internet services that allow use of web-based e-mail, shopping, news, chat and Armed Forces web sites.
Friends and family are also offered the chance to supplement users call time by purchasing top-ups directly onto the users Paradigm account card by calling into the WelComE Customer Contact Centre, as well as leaving voicemail messages for the users to retrieve free of charge from theatre.
With the Paradigm card you can store up to 10 messages on your partners phone with a length of 2 min for each message. At voice prompt you will need to enter the 9-digit Paradigm account card number for the person to whom you wish to leave a message for (make sure you put the correct number in wouldn't want someone else to pick up your message)!. Your partner can then pick these messages up in theatre free of charge, and delete them by pressing the key 8. (although the company instructs how to pick up and listen to messages it does not say how to delete, hence soldiers phoning WelComE Services to rectify the problem).
