"Lets Go Barmy at East Barnby"


 


AGE 10YRS TO 17YRS

East Barnby is a NYCC outdoor education centre a couple of miles from Whitby. In partnership with RBL Poppy Adventure Breaks we are running a multi activity adventure week away for 60 young people aged 10yrs to 17yrs old from Ripon, Dishforth and Harrogate.

The young people will take part in various adventurous activities such as, Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Body Boarding, Paddle Surfing, Rock Climbing, Sailing and much more. A full program of activities will run in the
evenings to keep them occupied including Low Ropes, Sledging, Swimming, Disco, Sports & much more.

At East Barnby you receive first class food, accommodation, tuition, and equipment. No need to buy any new kit it’s all provided for you. The centre is owned by NYCC and used by many of the local schools.

RBL funding is available for military & ex-military dependants - Criteria apply

Expression of interest forms can be collected from the Welfare office or I can email to you. Please return these ASAP

Eligible Funded Places will be allocated on a first come basis.

I have applied to run a second residential to run in October for 8-10yrs.

If I don’t secure funding for the second residential, places on this residential will also be offered to 8 and 9 year olds.

Information Evening

This information evening is for parents and young people aged 8 – 17yrs who are interested in coming on a Poppy Adventure Break.

I will explain the application process and RBL eligibility criteria, talk about the residential and activities and answer any questions.

You will also be able to complete and return the application forms. Please contact me if you are unable to attend but would like information.
