1. Introduction. | Dishforth Ladies Club meeting held on Monday 17 January 2011 at 13.00hrs. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all that attended; I hope 2011 will be a good year for Dishforth Ladies Club. | |||||||

4. Points. | 1. Proposed Events: Photo shoot This will be a booking only event and will run in conjunction with the Mums and Tots group on Thursday 17th February 2011 from 13.30hrs. Agreed that we will use http://www.magicmemories.biz/ as they have offered a 20% discount. (Samantha Steedman to make booking). Karaoke night Agreed Samantha Steedman would contact Lisa Blyth with regards to using Karaoke machine from hub. Wii Night Discussed running a Wii night £1.00 entry, Winner takes all. Agreed at meeting this would be a nice relaxed event where people were welcome to bring along their own choice of drinks. (Date and time to be confirmed). Cocktail Night Discussed running another Cocktail night. Samantha Steedman to look at cost. To be discussed further at next meeting. Chip n Dip Night Simply open Community Centre for a Chip N Dip Night , Agreed at meeting this would be a nice relaxed event where people were welcome to bring along their own choice of drinks. (Date and time to be confirmed). Movie Night Agreed at meeting this would be a nice relaxed event where people were welcome to bring along their own choice of drinks. Monday Activities Discussed the possibility of running weekly activities on a Monday evening for local children/families. Volunteers include: Emma Moore, Lisa Mosley and Samantha Steedman. To be discussed further at next meeting. Royal Wedding Tea Party Tea Party to take place on Sunday 8th May 2011 from 14.00hrs. Variety of activities for the children including Cake decorating, Bride and Groom Competition, Plate decorating and a Bouncy Castle and much more. Emma Moore has kindly volunteered to put a poster together for this event. We will require volunteers to assist both running up to and at this event, To be discussed further at next meeting. Easter Egg Hunt/Party To be discussed further at next meeting. Children’s Disco (Termly) Suggested we run Children’s disco termly, This would total 4 Per year. To be discussed further at next meeting. (Samantha Steedman to look into cost of using Boroughbridge leisure Centre for roller disco). 2. Proposed Trips out: Treasure Island Samantha Steedman to Request transport be provided by Welfare in the form of the mini bus (trial basis). Samantha Steedman also to speak with Treasure Island reference the possibility of discount for forces families. Menwith Hill Bowling Samantha Steedman to request transport be provided by Welfare in the form of the mini bus. Families Day at Thirsk Racecourse Samantha Steedman to look at cost and transport, Discuss further at next meeting. Ripon Racecourse ladies day Samantha Steedman to look at cost and transport, Discuss further at next meeting. 3. Funds Chairperson Charlotte Melling to remain chairperson at present. Charlotte Melling to confirm funds. (Will hopefully have this information ready for next meeting). 4. Paediatric/Basic First Aid Course Agreed Samantha Steedman would look at cost, Samantha Steedman also to speak with families office with regards to the possibility of funding for this from COPF or PRI. 5. Proposed Survey Samantha Steedman to put together a Proposed survey regarding what families would like to see provided by Dishforth Ladies Club, To be delivered to the residents of Dishforth Airfield. 6. Regular Meet and Greet Discussed the possibility of a Meet and greet page on facebook along with introduction/welcome packs and regular meet and greet sessions.
